“KFB” is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Florence, South Carolina. Our mission is to engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving Florence through the visual aspects of our community. We support Litter Prevention, Waste Reduction, Recycling, Beautification, and Community Greening. We identify the causes of litter and reduce it by organizing cleanups and programs that beautify and naturally clean our environment, these programs include community education for responsible consumerism; source reduction, reuse and recycling; community gardens and native and wildflower plantings.
Introducing Our Board of Directors: A Group of Visionary Leaders Driving Change
At Keep Florence Beautiful (KFB), we are fortunate to have a dedicated group of individuals serving on our Board of Directors. These leaders come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing a unique set of skills, experiences, and perspectives to guide our mission. Together, they help steer our organization toward creating a lasting impact in the community.
Our Board is committed to ensuring that KFB stays true to its core values and fulfills its mission. They are a group of passionate and driven individuals who are united in their belief that positive change is possible—and that, together, we can make a real difference.
Board of Directors

Michelle Bailey, Board Chair
Michelle has been an integral part of Keep Florence Beautiful since it became an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful in September 2000. Initially serving in a marketing role, she has remained actively involved for 25 years, with only a brief personal leave in the early 2000s. In 2010, Michelle took on the role of Chair, leading the successful effort to secure 501(c)(3) nonprofit status for the organization. Her deep dedication to the community and the environment is fueled by a lifetime of personal experiences, a strong connection to nature, concern for future generations, and a growing awareness of the impact of human activity on the planet. Michelle is passionate about sharing the mission of Keep Florence Beautiful and the positive difference it makes in the community and the environment.
She is especially excited about the opportunities ahead, with new partnerships alongside The City of Florence, Florence County, The Florence Chamber, Florence County Progress, and Florence County Economic Development Partnership — all working together to make a lasting impact on the Florence community. Michelle has been happily married to Chris for 27 years and they have a son, Austin.

Bobby Moore, Vice Chair
Bobby has proudly served on the board since 2019. A lifelong resident of Florence, Bobby is deeply committed to the continuous improvement and beautification of his hometown. His involvement with Keep Florence Beautiful has provided him the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making a positive impact in the community.
Professionally, Bobby works in property management, a role that enables him to engage with local residents and stay closely connected to the needs and concerns of the Florence area. He and his wife, Jamie, are proud parents to their daughter, Alexandra.

Tabatha Bellflowers, Treasurer
Tabatha has been a dedicated member of KFB for nearly 18 years. A lifelong resident of Florence County, Tabatha is passionate about giving back to her community and believes in the importance of making it cleaner and greener through leadership and active involvement. With a professional background in non-profit tax, she contributes her expertise by managing the organization’s financial affairs.

Lynn Wilson, Secretary
Lynn joined KFB in June 2025 and serves as the Director of Community and Workforce Development for the Florence County Economic Development Partnership. In this role, she works alongside leaders in smaller towns, connecting them with resources and sharing the message of growth and opportunity throughout Florence County. For Lynn, “keeping our neighborhoods clean and beautiful isn’t just about appearances—it’s about pride, quality of life, and creating the kind of place where new industries and jobs want to grow. That’s why I’m proud to serve on Keep Florence Beautiful. I believe small efforts—like planting flowers, picking up litter, or supporting clean-up projects—truly add up to make a big difference.” Outside of work, Lynn enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading a good book, exploring the outdoors, and spoiling her grand pup, Fitz. She and her husband have been married for 36 years and raised two wonderful sons, both of whom have also chosen to make their homes in the Pee Dee.

Melisa Hargrove, Board Member
Melisa has been a dedicated volunteer with KFB since 2020. An avid outdoor enthusiast and litigation paralegal, she spends much of her free time camping, kayaking, and exploring the natural world. Deeply committed to environmental stewardship, Melisa makes it her personal mission to pick up trash during every adventure. Whether she’s paddling winding rivers or camping deep in the forest, she ensures every place is cleaner than when she arrived. Her passion for preserving natural spaces perfectly aligns with KFB’s mission, and her hands-on approach to conservation inspires those around her. In addition to kayaking and camping, Melisa enjoys hiking, wildlife photography, and sharing her love of the environment with others, promoting sustainable practices both on and off the trails.

Jessica Harrington, Board Member & Litter Coordinator
Jessica has served on the Keep Florence Beautiful board for 10 years and currently leads the organization’s Litter Prevention efforts. She oversees KFB’s signature “Adopt” program, which empowers individuals and groups to take ownership of public spaces—whether it’s a highway, street, garden, park, or trail—and help keep Florence clean and beautiful. She also heads up the annual Earth Day festivities, bringing the community together to celebrate sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Outside of KFB, Jessica works as an investment advisor and holds multiple industry certifications. She is married to Lee and is a proud mom to one wonderful son and two amazing stepsons. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, practicing yoga, traveling the world, and spending time with her variety of animals, including dogs, a cat, and backyard chickens. Jessica lives by the Earth Day mantra: “Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”

Geraldine Cuypers, Board Member & Special Projects Lead
A KFB board member since August 2021, Geraldine focuses on water resources and advocates for reducing single-use items to help combat litter and pollution. Geraldine joined the Clemson Extension Water Team in July 2023. She holds degrees in Spanish and Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science from Francis Marion University. Originally from a small Caribbean Island, her lifelong love for water led to a passion for conservation and sustainability. Before joining Clemson Extension, Geraldine worked as a stormwater compliance inspector for the City of Florence, where she developed a strong interest in community outreach and environmental education.

Alison Anderson, Board Member & Volunteer Coordinator & Educational Liaison
Alison moved to Florence 4.5 years ago, where she quickly noticed a growing litter problem and felt compelled to take action. “I have always had a deep love for nature and a strong desire to care for the community I am part of. This organization provides the perfect opportunity to do both, and it is a true pleasure to serve my community in this way,” she shares.
Joining KFB 4 years ago, Alison serves as the volunteer coordinator and education liaison for Keep Florence Beautiful (KFB). She is also a mentor for KFB’s Green Steps Program in partnership with the Environmental Education Association of South Carolina (EEASC). Passionate about educating children and youth—our future leaders—Alison believes that teaching young people to love and respect the environment empowers them to grow into dedicated stewards of the earth and their communities.

Kayla Wilson, Board Member
Kayla joined KFB in January of 2025 and is the Grants Manager for Florence County, where she oversees funding applications and ensures compliance for projects across the county. Born and raised in Florence, South Carolina, she earned both her BBA (2016) and MBA (2017) from Francis Marion University. In addition to her work in public service, Kayla is passionate about animal rescue and welfare and spends her free time working to improve the lives of animals in her community. She began serving on the board of Keep Florence Beautiful in January 2025 as the Florence County representative and is proud to support its mission of creating a cleaner, more vibrant community.

Bree Moore, Board Member & Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
Bree joined KFB in April 2025 and serves in the marketing role, using her 15+ years of sales and marketing experience to help promote the organization’s mission and connect with the local community. She’s passionate about encouraging others to take pride in Florence and believes small, everyday actions can lead to meaningful change.
Bree moved to Florence with her family at age four and has proudly called it home ever since. She runs a local cleaning business, works as a part-time wedding coordinator, and specializes in freelance strategy content to marketing agencies. Bree is a proud mom to her daughter who will attend the FMU Nursing program this Fall.

Matt Watts, Board Member
Matt joined KFB in April 2025 and is the Public Works Manager for the City of Florence, where he brings a lifelong passion for his hometown to every aspect of his work. Born and raised in Florence, Matt graduated from Wilson High School in 2002 before completing his undergraduate and graduate education at the University of South Carolina. He began his career in Parks and Recreation with the City of Florence in 2009. His deep-rooted commitment to the community drives his dedication to reducing litter, and to keep Florence clean, safe, and welcoming for all. Matt lives in Florence with his wife, Terri, and son, Cooper.
A Commitment to Excellence
Each board member’s leadership is integral to our ability to deliver on our promise to the community. With backgrounds in law, finance, business, healthcare, and education, they offer a rich diversity of expertise that strengthens our governance and helps ensure the financial stability of our organization.
The Board is responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategy, evaluating its effectiveness, and ensuring that we are always moving toward our mission. But beyond that, they are champions of our cause, using their networks and influence to spread the word, raise funds, and recruit new supporters.
