Greatest American Cleanup

Join us Celebrate Florence County’s Greatest American Cleanup, April 18, 2026, as we host the largest one-day cleanup of the year in Florence County as part of the Great American Cleanup! The Great American Cleanup (GAC) is a nationwide community improvement program that kicks off in more than 20,000 communities each spring. This national program engages 2 million volunteers who take action in their communities to create positive change and lasting impact.

How To Participate:

  • Make a list of people who will be part of your GAC team. It can be your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, club, anyone! The GAC is open to all ages, but an adult must be present with anyone under the age of 16.
  • Pick a date to clean. We encourage you to try and clean on the Florence County GAC date, but your team can contact us for an alternative date option that can still be counted.
  • Pick a location to clean. If you aren’t sure of where you want to clean, let us know and we can assign a location or give you some options.
  • Designate a team captain (they get a free shirt!) and have them complete the forms below. Forms can either be completed online or downloaded and emailed to jessica@keepflorencebeautiful.org. Teams must register in order to receive cleanup supplies.
  • KFB will provide teams with trash bags, vests, and gloves.
  • Cleanup supplies are available, we will help you coordinate a time to pick-up your supplies.
  • Once your team is done cleaning, trash bags should be secured and placed together in a designated location for pick-up. Team captains will need to complete a cleanup report and return their supplies and report to the GAC tent or via email.
