“If you don’t need it, don’t buy it” -a KFB Green Thumb for Patagonia

KFB Green Thumb up! To Patagonia gear/clothing line founder, Yvon Chouinard. In an interview with the Today show aired this morning he told consumers,

You hear ‘reuse, recycle,’ stuff like that. You also have to consider refuse. Refuse to buy something. If you don’t need it, don’t buy it”

Sound advice by Mr Chouinard!

The Worn Wear Wagon

To take it a step further Chouinard is helping his consumers become more environmentally sound by launching the Worn Wear Wagon, a mobile garment repair shop traveling the country and mending clothing from the brand, which already provides a lifetime guarantee. They are also selling used clothing in stores.

This spring padagonias biodiesel repair truck will travel from California to New York doing free clothing repairs, teaching you how to fix your own gear and selling used Patagonia clothing. Bring us your tired, well-loved clothing for repair. If you don’t have any, we’ll supply it. Fix it and you can keep it. Join us for local food and drinks and celebrate the stories we wear.
